NBA star Tristan Thompson has been accused of not paying child support to Jordan Craig, the mother of his first child. Just weeks before Thompson was praised by Kim Kardashian as a great father, Thompson was accused of falling behind on child support payments.
According to court documents filed by Craig, since November 2022, Thompson owes her $224,000 in back child support. Craig asked the court to deduct $80,000 from Thompson’s monthly salary with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
“I believe Tristan has a ‘veteran’s minimum annual’ contract with the Cavaliers at $2.7 million per year,” Craig said in a statement filed.” The $80,000 demand is certainly less than half of his monthly salary.”
Before news broke of Thompson’s alleged child support arrears, Kardashian had praised Thompson as a good father on a Kardashian Sisters program.
“I know people are going to hate me for this, you’re going to hate us, you’re going to think Cole is something,” Kim said.” It’s crazy because he’s a great friend, he’s a great dad, but he just can’t fit into that, like being a loyal boyfriend.”
Thompson also has two children with Khloe Kardashian and one child with fitness model Maralee Nichols.
It’s worth noting that Thompson has yet to comment on Craig’s allegations.
